Both Brent and Ming received awards to attend and present at the 2016 Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (APSN) meeting in Kuala Lumpur (list of awardees).

Brent accepted an invitation to speak at the Menzies Research Institute at the University of Tasmania.
His presentation, entitled "Maintaining a Functional Nervous System", covered published and unpublished research on both regeneration and degeneration of the nervous system. Today we welcomed back Valerie Lisnyak to the Neumann lab! Valerie previously completed a Summer Research Scholarship project with us and is returning to the lab for the next three months for an Action in Developmental Biology Research Project - a program for high achieving students as part of her undergraduate DEV3990 course.
Valerie will be working as part of the CMT team in the lab, on a project entitled: Can enhanced microtubule acetylation prevent CMT-like phenotypes? |
