The Genetics Society of America selected Brent for their latest 'New Faculty Profile' feature.  As described by the GSA, these "Showcase GSA members who are establishing their first independent labs".

Brent has been successful in his application for a Young Investigator Award to attend and present his research at the 2016 Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (APSN) meeting in Kuala Lumpur (list of awardees).

The award includes:
 - a waiver of registration fee.
 - an invitation to APSN2016 Gala Dinner.
 - US$300 for travel and accommodation expenses.

Today we welcome Dean Fontbin to the Neumann lab!  Dean will be with us for the next three months completing a Research in Action in Biomedical Science project - a program for high achieving students - as part of his undergraduate DEV3990 course.

Dean will be working closely with Zehra Abay on a project entitled: cellular and molecular mechanisms of axonal regeneration.
