Brent has had a manuscript accepted for publication in Cell Reports as a corresponding author!
The paper is titled "The apoptotic engulfment machinery regulates axonal degeneration in C. elegans neurons" and characterises the molecular mechanisms behind the process of axonal degeneration after nervous system injury in the nematode. This is the first paper for Brent with his new affiliation at Monash University. Paper now available online here: http://www.cell.com/cell-reports/abstract/S2211-1247(16)30028-6 Valerie Lisnyak begins an 8-week Monash Summer Research Scholarship with us today. Valerie will be studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms of axonal regeneration.
