Nethmi YapaNethmi completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University in 2016. With a strong interest in pharmacology and neuroscience, she undertook a 4-week project in the Neumann lab as a part of the 2016 winter research scholarship, followed by a 6-week summer research scholarship in 2017. Subsequently, Nethmi completed an Honours research project in our lab focused on synaptic and muscle function in C. elegans models of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Nethmi achieved a first-class Honours grade. She is currently working as a part-time (0.4 FTE) research assistant in the lab.
Nethmi was first in the Neumann lab from June 2016 - December 2017. She returned from May 2018 to December 2018 on a part-time basis. Nethmi is now completing her PhD in Mike Ryan's lab at Monash University. |
